Jericoacoara is 300 km northwest of Fortaleza, which can be accomplished by 280 km on the paved road to Jijoca, with the final 20 km by 4 x 4 from Jijoca over the dunes to arrive in the village. It is a 4-6 hour trip one way depending upon the means of transport and driver.
